It opens with Wotan suffering a nightmare. Then Erda, his former love, appears wearing a leopard jacket, smoking a cigarette & sitting down on a couch. Funny, all women have to act as coming from red light districts. Wotan & Erda discuss their past sitting on the couch, but she leaves alone her former lover after while (who had raped her). Lonely Wotan suffers more when Wald-voeglein stomps over him on the couch & Siegfried (his grandson) enters & starts discussing with him about the access to the fire surrounded rock where Bruennhilde is bound to by Wotan. Siegfried finally cuts in half Wotans powerless law spear by using his "renewed" power sword Notung. Then he crosses the fire barrier.

Der dritte Akt beginnt mit Wotan, der sich im Alptraum auf der Couch und am Boden wälzt. Erda, seine frühere Geliebte, erscheint mit Zigarette und Leopardjacke, ganz Lebedame. Eigenartig, alle Damen scheinen dem Rotlicht Milieu zugeordnet. Erda und Wotan sprechen über ihre Vergangenheit, doch Erda verlässt ihren ehemaligen Geliebten (Vergewaltiger) bald. Ein einsamer Wotan leidet noch mehr, als das Waldvöglein über ihn und die Couch steigt und Wotans Enkel Siegfried eintritt und mit ihm ebenfalls ein Streitgespräch beginnt, wie er denn zum feuerumloderten Felsen käme, wohin Brünnhilde von Wotan verbannt sei. Schliesslich zerschlägt Siegfried Wotans kraftlosen Gesetzesspeer mit der erneuerten Kraft seines Schwertes Notung. Und auf zum Feuerfelsen.
